Artist Statement

"Birthday Party"  by Jose Caro

 Pastels Girault on Sennelier 22x28. This painting represents a metaphor of modern life, the interplay between the oldest bonds between children and the new technology, the tension between physical connection and mental distance; each of the two is in their own universe, in their own devise yet both warmly bonded together. Are they happy? I think they are. The party is different of mine and that of my parents. The only CONSTANT in life is CHANGE.
