Artist Statement

"Shady Lakes" by Carmen Davidson

This is my Favorite Place to Paint, "Shady Lakes". When we went to paint as a group, I was always the last to leave. Created over 50 years ago, in the high desert by a lovely lady, there are three lakes filled with lilies, surrounded by Cottonwoods with all kinds of wildlife. People came to fish and went home, while I painted along the paths around the ponds. I found Peacefulness and Beauty there with the backdrop of the mountains.
