Artist Statement

"Strawberries and Stripes" by BF Reed

My work “Strawberries and Stripes” is a powerful composition that demands attention. This eye capturing arrangement contains a few of my favorite things – antique Battenburg lace; hand-painted Cantonese porcelain; and mouth-watering Strawberries - all on a sun-drenched striped tablecloth. I sketched this still life over and over and over. In fact, more times than I can remember because this is what it demanded.
