“Waiting for Mom” by Peggy Duncan

In 2015 I took an awesome trip with a good friend to visit her daughter who teaches in Myanmar. We traveled around most of the country staying a couple of days in each location.

While waiting for our taxi boat to take us to Inle Lake I spotted this young boy.

I could not resist snapping several photos of him. I chose this one to paint my impression of him. The white areas on his face are a sunscreen all the locals use. It is all around in communal blocks of a cake like substance that one rubs on faces. Most make some sort of designs or circles on their faces.
