Artist Statement

"Ambers Way Home" by Jeffrey Fahey

Even though I've done my share of traveling it occurred to me how comforting the familiar can be. We've all experienced the feeling of pulling into our driveway, riding down the road to our home or stepping through the door into our house after a journey of some kind. We relax and exhale knowing that we've arrived back to the safety of our "nest." This was the emotion that inspired this painting: the feeling of arriving home by driving down a familiar path, content once again to be in the comfort of our home.
